Exame 71-688 – Managing and Maintaining Windows 8

Foi com muita alegria que recebi o convite da Microsoft para a realização de um exame Beta sobre Windows 8.

As áreas de sistemas operativos e virtualização nem são as minhas áreas de eleição para obter uma certificação, nem o timming é o ideal, mas mesmo assim vou abraçar este desafio e no dia 31 de Outubro lá estarei a realizar o exame 71-688 Managing and Maintaining Windows 8. Concerteza que será uma mais valia para a parceria que a Shortcut tem com a Microsoft, assim como numa futura certificação MCT.

Esta informação é tão recente que nem o Preparation Guide se encontra oficialmente disponível pela Microsoft. Porém, encontrei a seguinte informação no blog Born to learn.

Target Audience: This exam is intended for IT professionals who work with small businesses and individuals to manage their computers and devices, which are typically set up in a peer-to-peer or remote environment.

Tasks that candidates typically perform include:

  • Installing, upgrading to, and migrating to Windows 8

Certificação Microsoft – Exame gratuíto de 2a tentativa

​A Microsoft lançou uma campanha em que oferece a segunda tentativa para a realização de um exame de certificação.

A campanha está disponível para exames individuais até 31 de Maio de 2013 ou para packs até 31 de Dezembro de 2013.

Os packs consistem num conjunto de exames com vista na realização de terminada certificação, com desconto na compra do pack e com a oferta da segunda tentativa em cada um dos exames.

Estas, são as certificações que beneficiam desta promoção:
